Breastfeeding maybe natural, but natural doesn’t necessarily mean easy! As an international board certified lactation consultant, I tell this to many of the moms I take care during a breastfeeding consultation. Getting off on the right foot can make all the difference! Many new mamas want to know what are the essential items they need to help with this. First and foremost, we always need a willing mama and a hungry baby. Breastfeeding is 50/50…half mama and half baby. There are 2 new parties trying to figure out the beautiful dance in learning how to breastfeed.

So what things might help this dance go a little bit easier?

  1. A Nursing Pillow. A good nursing pillow is super helpful to support the baby and get the baby up near the breast. A favorite of many new moms is the My Breastfriend Nursing Pillow. Click Here

  1. Nipple Cream. Moms love Motherlove Nipple Cream Organic Lanolin-free Herbal Salve to soothe and moisturize tender nipples. Click Here

  1. Nursing Pads. During those early days moms may tend to leak so breast pads are a must! Click Here
